Some of the Bomb Squad Industries crew work quite a bit in the area of Spatial Design, usually connected with retail or marketing. Without fail though, it is working in this capacity where we find the greatest lack of understanding or confusion about just what it is designers in this field actually do. Finding a solution to light a space in such a way as to create mood and ambiance, while still wanting to have cool things on walls such as graphics is quite often a challenge. True ambient mood lighting often makes it hard to see graphics and when there is enough light to read the graphics, the mood can be lost.
Jonas Samson has a cool solution that combines wallpaper and light to create the best of both worlds and if viable give us more than a few ideas for project use.

Definitely cool with a world of possibility for those difficult interior spaces we all have to deal with from time to time.

Pinched from Refinery29:
“Originally intended as a safeguard for gizmo du jour, the iPod, this handsome body-conscious holster slips easily under a jacket, hoodie, or sweater and can accommodate other essential everyday incidentals—cash, cards, a spare key—keeping your pockets empty and your silhouette sleek. And with its dapper design, shaped to sit flush against your side for discreet portage, only the most exhaustive frisking will betray its presence.”
While the product concept is rather interesting, the execution very good and the tangental thinking, clever, one has to ask when a consumer product is just not worth it.
We had already heard stories of people in the UK being the targets of muggings while wearing the ubiquitous white headphones, a sure sign of Apple love in a pocket (and undoubted success of Apple’s design marketing), but something like this seems, well… absurd. If the choice is wearing a ‘concealed holster’ or leaving the iPod at home, we think one should go for the latter.
Anyway, ‘ear-bud’ headphones have been linked to be a good way to get a solid case of tinnitus - wear those retro cans and look the biz!
If you’re into the idea, you can see more of it here.

We stumbled on this in our travels through the web and just rediscovered it…. a physical representation of Photoshop. We are thinking this would look the goods in a large gallery space.

“The final version of the Volt won’t look like the concept. In the wind tunnel it was a cruel disappointment. We probably would’ve gotten a better drag coefficient if we put it in the wind tunnel backwards.”
