Q: Can I special order or get a size you don’t do?
A: Within reason, yes for an upcharge. Even though we make each and every Meccanica order as it comes in, we still try to streamline the process. That does not mean tweaking something to make it just right for you is out of the question, it just might mean it will take a bit of extra work. Drop us a line with your request and we’ll see what we can do.
Q: I ordered flat-lock stitching on my Arm Warmers and one side looks like it’s missing stitches. Is this defective?
A: No, it’s quite normal. The Arm Warmers tend to push the flat-lock machine a little beyond what it’s built for in terms of feeding a garment through it. The side that looks perfect is done when the Arm Warmer is not yet fully joined, so it’s easy to feed through the machine. Once closed up though, it’s actually a wee bit small for the feeder, so the seamstress has to manually push it through, which means that occasionally the stitch can look like it’s missed. Rest assured, it’s 100% and will serve you well.
Q: Will you do special runs or multiples for my team/group etc?
A: Yes, we offer a special service just for this very thing. Read about it here.
