‘Simple’ Shorts

When we sat down and thought about designing a new pair of shorts, we soon realised that the sort of shorts we went to wear most often, to go and do anything, were the simplest ones.

Our ‘everyday’s’, were solid, versatile (we went to beach in them, the gym, the coffee haunt and the pub) and they didn’t make us look like we just got off a chair lift, so could go anywhere in them. Funny thing too, when we noticed what some of the Sydney Messenger crew were wearing on the bike (10 hours a day), it pretty much lined up with what we were wearing – simple shorts.

Using our [Design Meccanica] build system, you have the ability to select body & stitching colours, pockets, rivets, and other options.

The Simple Shorts feature:

• A super clean cut, with a long and roomy leg + traditional height crotch, not the lower ’street’ style (we did this as it makes them more ’saddle’ friendly if you are the sort to get on a bike).
• A choice of waist bands, all double layered with heavy block fuse to ensure they don’t ‘roll’.
• A choice of three weights of Cotton Drill.
• Optional double layering on the back (+$10).
• Optional plain side adjusters or our X-Fit adjustment system (+$10/$25)
• Hand pockets and optional styles of rear pockets, if you want some – both with hard wearing cotton drill pocket bags (not a badly wearing lightweight fabric).
• A full brass No 4 Swiss made Riri zip.
• Australian + German (Rasant) threads throughout.
• Bar tacking at critical stress points.
• Optional belt loops (+$5).
• Japanese made press studs.

Within Australia, we offer Regular or top shelf Platinum Express Post. Outside Australia we ship via Regular or Registered Air, which takes 3-14 days depending where you are.
