: Vanmoof

There’s one of those trendy design shops up the road with one of these in the window. Then I saw some guy ride down the road on one. Then I saw them on this interwebby thang. So I though it best to check into it, can’t be left behind you know.

Vanmoof, apparently is a redesign of a Dutch icon, I am guessing the basic urban commuter. Checking the [site] and there is not much about it, other than the specs, presented in a rather simple, clean site. What is sorta neat about this design, is in that insanely large top tube  is a inbuilt LED headlight.  In the flesh, the Vanmoof is odd, as that top tube really throws things but the build is clean.

A little urban yuppy? Fer sure. But is it any more so that all those try hards on the retro framed fixies? Prolly not…. and maybe even a little more cred. You decide.

1. Hey I saw one of these at the Hyde Park ride to work day breakfast today. It was a silver colour & looked far better than the picture shown.
