: Bern

Walk into any bike shop and you might find two or three brands of helmets. All pretty middle of the road, all the probable ‘safe sale’ option. Does not mean that’s what everyone wants but it’s what every one gets, unless you bring your own in from off shore. But as POC shows, there’s a whole world of options out there that you might never see.

Bern is one such brand.

Making helmets for bike and snow, their offerings are small but different, somewhat alternative and rather urban. They have a fresh take on the traditional ‘skate’ style lid that we’re sure will appeal to a lot of urban / commuter riders out there that don’t want the Battlestar Gallactica sitting on top of their head. The G2 pictured is a good example of that.

With a range of colours and their purposeful approach, Bern’s a pretty cool option.
